Public Darbar held at Ganderbal

In compliance with Chief Ministers directions,  District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Showkat Aijaz Bhat today convened a public darbar at Ganderbal in which issues pertaining to development of the district besides implementation of Public Service Guarantee Act, National Food Security Act (NFSA) and other related issues were highlighted.A large number of people from different areas of the district attended the Public Darbar and apprised the Deputy Commissioner about their grievances and problems.The DDC assured the people that all their grievances shall be redressed on priority in time bound manner. He directed the concerned officers to look into the public grievances and put all their efforts to redress them without any delay.After the public durbar, DDC launched Gram Udhay Se Bharat Udhay Abhiyan for Ganderbal District and chaired a first District level Gram Sabha to ensure strengthening of Panchayat Raj.All the officers of line Department and Sarpanchs of the District Ganderbal were present on this occasion. The Audience was briefed about the 10 days celebration by DPO Ganderbal.The DDC impressed upon all the officers to work in close coordination with elected representatives to make this campaign a success. He said the programme is aimed at boosting social harmony in the villages, strengthening Panchayati Raj Act, promotion of Rural Development and ensuring farmer’s welfare.The celebrations are starting from April 14 which is Dr. B.R. Ambedkars anniversary and will culminate with Grahm Sabha in every Panchayat halqa on April 24 which is being celebrated as National Panchayati Raj Day.
