Turning down the resignation of Peoples Conference Chairman Sajad Gani Lone from Cabinet, BJP Saturday said that lone was their partner in the government and was being taken seriously. Party’s senior leader and Deputy Chief Minster Dr. Nirmal Singh said that Sajad was their’ companion’ and important ally hence, his resignation cannot be accepted.“He is our companion and his resignation has not been accepted.” Dr. Nirmal Singh told KNS, adding that his concerns are being given a though and efforts are on to address them.Pertinently Sajad lone while refusing to accept the Social welfare ministry tendered his resignation to Chief Minster Mehbooba Mufti. However, Miss Mufti is still to take a call on it as Mr. Lone was inducted from the BJP quota in the cabinet. Sources in the PDP said that Chief Minster was also not keen to accept Lone’s resignation and was waiting for BJP to take a call on it. (KNS)
