Show maturity, brotherhood with each other: Hurriyat (G) to NIT students

While expressing the concern over the issue of NIT, Hurriyat (G) has strongly rejected the move of hoisting Indian flag within the NIT Srinagar Campus and expresses their great concern over the deployment of CRPF within the campus.Hurriyat (G) expressed dismay over the deteriorated situation at NIT Srinagar and appealed all the students to show maturity and brotherhood with each other and said outstation students are our guests but at the same time they must go through the historical background of Jammu Kashmir and understand the severity of the state as it is not the state of India like Utarpredesh and Bihar. It is a disputed territory and India is only ruling the state with its military power and we the people of the state are struggling since last 69 years against this forcible occupation to get our right to self-determination.

According to a statement issued to KNS, while addressing to the non-local students, Hurriyat (G) said that they should know the sensitivity status of the Jammu and Kashmir and not to demand for installing tricolor in the premises of the institution and it is not acceptable and practicable for the people of the state by anyway and the continuously disturbance can make the atmosphere bad and it will affect the carrier of the students.Hurriyat (G) said hoisting Indian flag in campus will make campus more vulnerable for the students. Replacing CRPF instead of JK Police, Hurriyat (G) said that it will create misunderstanding between the local and non-local students and if this move will take place the Intervention of the New Delhi will be considered in this regard.While appealing the students of both side, Hurriyat Conference (G) said that they should concentrate on their precious studies and not to destroy the college atmosphere and not to interfering in feeling and thoughts of each other.In the meanwhile, Hurriyat (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani paying glorious tributes to the martyr Waseem of Shopian.He said youths are sacrificing their precious lives for the sacred cause and lefts huge responsibilities on our shoulders to carry forward the mission.In his telephonic address to the funeral procession he appealed people to show steadfastness and commitment towards the movement.
