MVD launches vahan version 4.0 at Ramban

To provide better transparency and quality service to the applicants, Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) Ramban has switched over from Vahan version 1.0 to Vahan version 4.0.This vahan version was inaugurated by District Development Commissioner Ramban Bashir Ahmad Dar in presence of Joint Transport Commissioner, J&K Vikas Sharma, Assistant Regional Transport Officer Shammi Sharma, Computer Scientist National Informatics Centre (NIC), Jammu Rakesh Gupta and Neetin Pandoh to provide web based services to the public.Appreciating the initiative of Transport department, the DDC said that this innovative step will now provide the work quality and e- service to the people while sitting at home. He further said that this service will help the people to get every information online.Giving details about the updated version he said that with the beginning of vahan version 4.0 based services, the applicant will get SMS in his mobile about the status of his file submitted in the office. He further added that the applicant need not visit again and again in the office to know the status of his file and instead he will get the message in his mobile on the completion of file work.
