Kicks start Blacktopping at Billawar

Maintaining that the necessary mechanism has been put in place to accelerate the pace of developmental works in the state, the Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Nirmal Singh today said that new flagship programmes and the schemes being undertaken will ensure quality amenities are provided to the   people .The Deputy Chief Minister was addressing people after kick starting blacktopping of 1 Km link road to Mohalla Jogian of panchayat Bhaiya to be executed by PWD Department at a cost of Rs. 32 lakhs in. It is pertinent to mention that the blacktopping works are being undertaken in Sukrala-Billawar, Billawar to Fintar, Fintar to Bhuddu and from Dabbi to Challan  with an estimated cost of Rs 11 Crore ADDC Kathua Manmohan Singh, SDM Hiranagar Sohan Lal , Tehsildar Hiranagar Jatinder Mishra , XEN PDD Kathua Sandeep Seth, SDPO Border Dewaker Singh and AEE PWD , Sub Div. 

Hiranagar Tajinder Gupta along with residents of Panchayat Bhaiya were present on the occasion.  The Deputy Chief Minister said that the development of the state has been fast paced by ensuring that the various projects are completed in a time bound manner and the necessary instructions have been passed to the concerned executing agencies to ensure the same. Dr Singh said that developmental works worth Rs. 200 Crore are being undertaken in Billawar which include nursing college, Rs. 47 cr worth bridge at Jathana, Indoor Stadium at Billawar, Dyalachak to Challan National Highway and Lakhanpur-Basohli-Dunera Highway etc. He further said that Government of India has sanctioned Rs. 780 Crores for strengthening of road network in the state and the state Government is committed to mitigate the problems of the people with thrust on transparency and honesty.

The Deputy Chief Minister while mentioning the benefits of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bemi Yojna, the Crop Insurance Scheme recently launched by the Prime Minister said that farmers of the state especially of the kandi areas can be compensated adequately in drought like conditions or any other type of damages under this revolutionary step. He further highlighted the recently launched amnesty scheme of PDD in which benefits were provided to consumers in large numbers.While asking the people to partake in implementation of various welfare programs, the Deputy Chief Minister said that their participatory role in day to day governance strengthens the basic democratic set up.
