Legislators, deputations call on Dy CM Dr. Nirmal Singh

Several legislators and people from different walks of life   called on the Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Singh at Civil Secretariat here today.The Deputy Chief Minister while interacting with them said that the new government would ensure that the problems being faced by the people are redressed within the shortest possible time and in this regard necessary instructions would be passed to the concerned departments and officers.A deputation of the Councillors from Ladakh led by Dr. Sonam Dawa also called on the Deputy Chief Minister and apprised him with their problems besides projecting various other demands related to the development of the hilly district.The Deputy Chief Minister informed them that a comprehensive developmental package has already been formulated for the holistic development of the state and instructions would be passed to the concerned departments to ensure timely completion of the projects so that the people get the requisite benefits from these.

Dr. Singh said that the government is committed for undertaking equitable development of all the three regions of the State so that it comes up as one of the model states of the country. He said that several new flagship programmes are being undertaken in power sector so that the people get 24X7 electricity besides un-electrified hamlets and villages are electrified.Referring to the various initiatives being undertaken in the Housing sector, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the timely completion of these schemes and programmes would ensure that the cities and the towns of the State get all the requisite and modern housing facilities.
