Inquisitiveness Ends: Mehbooba sworn-in as first woman Chief Minister of J&K

Peoples Democratic Party President Mehbooba Mufti was sworn-in as the first lady Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir in presence of Governor N.N Vohra at Raj Bhawan Jammu on Monday. The 56-years old Mehbooba is a daughter of Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and a founder of PDP Late Mufti Muhammad  Sayeed. The coalition administration of PDP-BJP has 56 MLA’s in the 87-member Assembly along with Sajad Gani Lone of Peoples Conference. Pertinently, Peoples Democratic Party's 11 as many as BJP MLA's took oath of office and screcy at Raj Bhawan. Peoples Conference led by Sajad Gani Lone has two MLA’s while two other independent MLA’s are supporting the government.In a meantime, Syed Afrooq Andrabi, Zahoor Mir, Sham Choudhary, Ajay Nanda were included in Mehbooba’s new cabinet while as few cabinet ministers during Mufti led coalition government were dropped in newly formed alliance administration.

Venkaiah Naidu,MoS in Prime Ministers Office Dr. Jitendra Singh , Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal and BJP leader Ram Madhav were present during the swearing-in Ceremony of first woman CM of state. The council of Ministers of PDP-BJP’s 2nd Innings are Nirmal Singh Deputy Chief Minister, Abdul Rehman Veeri, Chandar Parkash,Ghulam Nabi Lone, Bali Bhagat, Prakash Kumar, Haq Khan, Lal Singh, SYed Basharat Bukhari, Sajad Gani Lone, Haseeb A.
