Punjab Road Infrastructure Second Best In The Country- Bikram Singh Majithia

Close on heels to Kerala, State of Punjab has emerged as the second best out of the 29 states of the country in the road infrastructure sector, said Mr. Bikram Majithia Cabinet Minister Punjab while laying foundation stone of various development works in village Bhoma & Wadala. He also distributed grants worth Rs. 1.42 crore for the development works of these villages.He said that during the SAD-BJP tenure, so far Rs. Over 32000 crore have been spent for the development of world class infrastructure in the State. He said that coupled with 4-6 laning of the State and National highways , a large number of ROBs & RUBs and flyovers have been built across the length and breadth of the State.Talking of Majitha Constituency, the minister said that Rs.200 crore have been spent in the region for improvement of road connectivity including widening of Amritsar-Majitha, Kathunangal-Boparai via Wadala Viram and Kotla Gujjaran- Wadala Viram roads.
