Unidentified gunmen kill woman in Tral

A 50-year-old woman was shot dead by unknown gunmen in Tral area of south Kashmir's Pulwama district late this evening.Station House Officer (SHO) Inspector Raja Tasleem told news agency GNS that the woman namely Hameeda Begum wife of Late Ghulkam Hassan Dar was shot at by gunmen after they barged into her house."The woman, he said, was critically injured and was rushed to hospital where doctors declared her brought dead".The woman is survived by two and it was not immediately known why she was shot dead.Police said they have started investigation into the incident. No militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the attack so far. (GNS)
