Zaffer Akbar Bhat meets party leaders, activists in Jammu

Seeks peaceful resolution of K-issue, asks people remain vigilant

Senior Pro-freedom leader and Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement Chairman, Zaffer Akbar Bhat Wednesday met party leaders and activists of Jammu, Poonch and Doda at Bathendi Jammu.Prominent among those who attended the meeting include Altaf Ahmad, Khurshid Ahmad, Nazir Ahmad, Sajad Baderwahi, Aslam Gojri, Khan Murtaza, Javed Salman and others.In a statement issued to KNS, spokesman said that during the meeting, Bhat deliberated upon several issues and held threadbare discussion on ongoing freedom movement, prevailing political scenario viz-a-viz Kashmir issue.Addressing the meeting, Bhat said that a constructive dialogue between three parties involved in Kashmir conflict-Kashmiris, India and Pakistan will pave a way for peaceful settlement of Kashmir dispute.He said that people across the line wants permanent and peaceful resolution of Kashmir dispute. Bhat said that people on both sides demand demilitarization and Confidence Building Measures to be initiated.Bhat said that Indo-Pak countries must open all natural routes connecting the divided Kashmir to reunite the state for peace and stability of the region.

“Kashmiris are peace loving, It’s the reason the people of Jammu and Kashmir who have rendered unparallel sacrifices wants the peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue,” he said, adding international community is bound to show seriousness for its resolution which can guarantee peace in South Asian.

Bhat also demanded shifting of Political detainees from Indian jails to Kashmir as authorities in Indian Jails aren’t providing basic facilities to political detaineesHe paid glowing tributes to martyrs who have laid down their lives and said it is due responsibility of international community to honor the sacrifices rendered by Kashmiris since past decades.He asked party leaders to educated common masses about the agendas and policies of anti-movement organizations who are hell bent to divide the state on religion and regional basis.He said that Kashmiris will strive for the freedom of nation despite odds.
