DDC Udh launches Free Coaching Classes for CET

District Development Commissioner, Udhampur Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary today launched free coaching classes here for aspirants of Medical and Engineering combined entrance examination with special courses designed by subject matter specialists of Education Department. Model Classrooms have been provided for Special Coaching Classes.Principal Govt ML Higher Secondary School has been appointed as Nodal Officer for the programme and designing course content and other administrative matters. A team of 15 lecturers and teachers drawn from the department along with guest lecturers will run the coaching programme aimed at training and preparing the deserving, meritorious and needy students for appearing in entrance examination for courses including MBBS, BDS, BVSc, BE, BSc courses in various specialized fields and other technical courses.Dr Shahid interacted with the enrolled aspirants and conducted the introductory lecture for the students wherein they were briefed about requirements for Competitive Examinations including the professional courses and civil services examination at State and National level. 

He briefed the students about procedures and methodologies to be adopted for cracking competitive examinations and preparing themselves as best among the lot. He added that district administration will provide further facilities like photostat machine, e-Learning centre, furniture, stationery and other such facilities for the cell. Complimenting the GHSS Principal and team of teachers he asked the students to devote their best efforts for achieving success under their able guidance.A number of students raised their queries regarding the competitive examinations, courses, coaching modules and requirements to which the DDC responded. The students were informed about strict discipline in coaching module during the course of preparation. The coaching classes are being imparted in subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics.Chief Education Officer Bishen Singh presented the vote of thanks and assured best possible inputs by resource persons of education department. PO DRDA Dr Jagdish Mehra, Principal Sunil Sharma, ExEn PHE Rajesh Gupta, ExEn PWD Rajesh Gupta, CEO-MC KK Chhalotra, senior officers of district administrations, lecturers and members of teaching group were also present.
