NYK organizes district youth convention

Nehru Yuva Kendra today organized a District Youth Convention and Cultural Programme at Town Hall which saw participation from more than 350 youth of different Youth Clubs & Mahila Mandals.ADDC Nariender Singh Bali was the Chief Guest on the occasion. CMO Dr Kulbhushan, Functional Manager DIC Amresh Kotwal were also among the participants.While addressing the gathering, the ADDC stressed on exploring the hidden skills and talent of the youth from rural areas of the district. He further said that the main objectives of this programme is to provide opportunities and platform to rural youth leaders to express themselves, share experiences and suggest best practices, programmes for youth empowerment. The convention would prepare the youth to disseminate the acquired knowledge among the people in general and youth in particular, he added.Mohammad Ashraf of KVIB and other Resource Persons from different departments delivered their lectures on their respective departmental schemes.The ADDC also distributed sports equipment among the youths on the occasion.
