Government Schemes Should Be Implemented In The District In Their True Spirit – Ravneet Singh Bittu

Deputy Commissioner Mr Ravi Bhagat today stated that maximum number of people have been given employment under the MGNREGA Scheme. He informed this during the District Level Vigilance & Monitoring Committee meeting chaired by Lok Sabha MP Mr Ravneet Singh Bittu at Bachat Bhawan, here today. During the meeting, Mr Bittu asked the District Administration to make sure all schemes of the Centre Government in their true spirit so that maximum number of people can avail of it.While providing details, DC Mr Ravi Bhagat said that the district administration is making all efforts to implement Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) Scheme at ground level. He said that efforts are being made all unemployment people are provided employment under this scheme.Ravi Bhagat informed that all schemes of the centre government are being implemented in their true spirit in the district and lakhs of people are already getting benefitted by those schemes. He also said that the targets set during the last meeting have been almost met and funds received under different schemes are also spent for providing maximum benefit to the public. He said that details of all expenditure are uploaded on their website.

Ravneet Singh Bittu said that the centre government has started several schemes for the welfare of different sections of the society and there is a need to implement them in their true spirit. During the meeting, Mr Bittu also checked the status of government schemes such as MGNREGA, Indira Awas Yojana, Prime Minister Gram Sadak Yojana, Rajiv Gandhi Yojana, National Rural Health Mission, Mid Day Meal, RMSA, Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan, Right to Education Act, DRDA, MPLAD and others.During the meeting, Mr Ravneet Singh Bittu said that MGNREGA has been started for providing employment to the unemployed and there is also a need to educate the masses about this scheme so that a large number of people can avail of it.Prominent among those present during the meeting included MLAs Bharat Bhushan Ashu, Surinder Dawar, Amrik Singh Dhillon, Gurcharan Singh Boparai, Zila Parishad chairman Mr Bhag Singh Maangarh, former Minister Mr Malkit Singh Dakha, ADC (D) Miss Apneet Riyait, all SDMs and other senior government officials.
