Seminar on credit plan held at Shopian

A daylong seminar regarding alignment of Annual Credit Plan (ACP) was held at Shopian today. The purpose of seminar was to link ACP with District Development Plan (DDP) so as to improve credit flow in the district by coordination of district administration and banks operating in the district to improve socio economic conditions of the people.The seminar was organized by J&K Bank through district cluster office. Zonal Head J&K bank was the chief guest while as Chief Planning Officer was guest of honour.Addressing the meeting, the Zonal head J&K Bank said that aligning the two plans is aimed to improve the economic growth & development of the district. He assured the district administration that J&K Bank will play a leading role in dispensation of credit in the district in all viable ventures.

Chief Planning Officer, Shopian informed the meeting that Rs. 85.00 crore under district plan are earmarked annually and by linking with Annual Credit Plan, district can increase the credit flow in the identified potential areas, which may help in advancing growth of district. He said that the credit plan has been envisaged at Rs. 604 crores with 80% advances allocated to priority sector.The seminar was attended by Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Lead District Manager Shopian, and representatives from Reserve Bank of India, NABARD & various departments operating in the district.
