Inter College Symposium on Disaster management held at Udhampur

An inter-college symposium on Disaster Management was organised by the Civil Defence organization at Shivalik College of Education.Chief guest on the occassion , DIG Police Udhampur –Reasi Range Surinder Gupta in his address appreciated the efforts of Civil Defence organization for conducting   events and activities like awareness training camps, mock exercises, debates on various  topics  of public importance . He stressed on the need to hold more such events to prepare the volunteers to meet the challenge of Natural or man-made disaster by learning civil defence techniques .

Earlier, Deputy Controller Civil Defence Bodh Raj threw light on functioning of the organization and the activities being carried in the district.Preeti Sharma of PG College Udhampur, Bhavna Rani of Bartiya college of Education and Mirnal Charak of Kalra college of Education clinched first  second and third position in the contest . Swatantra Dev Kotwal (Advocate) Dy. Chief Warden CD Udhampur, (Dy. Director Planning Udhampur), Ashok Khajuria and Zonal Physical Education officer   Retd Bushan Sethi.Dr. Vikram Gulati Principal Shivalik College of education of Udhampur presented the vote of thanks.
