Says people contribute themselves to their troubles

Former Union Minister and Senior Congress Leader, Prof. Saifuddin Soz on Monday said that he hope that the state administration is alive to the fact that Lateefabad and other adjacent areas in Baramulla Tehsil have suffered land-sliding on large scale due to recent incessant rains.In a statement issued to KNS, Soz said, “I take this opportunity to say a word on how people have themselves also contributed to their troubles. The greedy in the system have grabbed Kascharai and Khalsa-Sarkar land and raised constructions even on the banks of rivulets and canals with the result that the rain water does not flow in normal course.”He said that there is urgent need for a course correction in our social behavior and only a strong action on the part of the Administration can lead to a reform in the process.
