Punjab Government Despatches Cheque Of Rs 191.75 Crore To Haryana Government

In consonance with the decision of Punjab Cabinet to return all the funds received by the state of Punjab from Haryana for the Satluj Yamuna Link (SYL) Canal, the Punjab government today despatched a cheque of Rs 191.75 crore to Haryana government.Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s Office said that the Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal in a DO letter to his Haryana counterpart Mr. Manohar Lal Khattar this evening apprised him about the Council of Minister’s decision to return the entire funds received by Punjab from Haryana for the SYL Canal. “I am, therefore enclosing herewith a cheque bearing No' 997640 for an amount of Rs. 191.75 crore” reads the letter. Text of the letter and copy of cheque is enclosed herewith.
