S. Gopal Reddy assumes office as DG Home Guards

Mr. S. Gopal Reddy, took over the charge of DG and Commandant General of Home Guards, Civil Defence & SDRF at Home-Guard headquarters here today.Mr. Reddy, a 1985 batch IPS officer, was on deputation to Telengana and was posted as Controller, Legal Metrology Department. Mr. Reddy has served the state in various capacities including Dy SP DAR Rajouri, SDPO Bhaderwah, ASP Crime Jammu, ASP Traffic Rural Jammu, SP Budgam, SP Kargil, DIG Vigilance, Director Police Telecommunication J&K, DIG AP Jammu, Commissioner Civil & Military Liaison J&K, IGP Vigilance, IGP/ADGP Home-guards/Civil Defence & SDRF, Mr. Reddy, during his service has been awarded prestigious President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service and Police Medal for Meritorious Service, Sher-i-Kashmir Police Medal for Meritorious Service and DGP Medal.Later, Mr. Reddy convened a meeting of senior officers and staff, interacted with them and stressed  for greater coordination among all units of Home-guards for better delivery and discussed various official matters.
