Taking strong note of the complaints by various delegations regarding the accumulated garbage spread all over the city Srinagar, Senior Leader and General Secretary (BJP) District Srinagar, Zubair Nazir Wani toured different areas of the city today, including Parimpora, Bemina, Batamaloo, Lal Chowk, Karan Nagar, Hyderpora, Chanapora, Natipora, Hawal, Nowhatta, Rainawari, Hazratbal, Lal Bazar, Soura, Buchpora, Khanyar and Dalgate. During analysing the current situation of Srinagar, ZubairNazir said, “It’s very sad to see that the SMC officials who use to give slogan as ‘Clean Srinagar, Green Srinagar’ have left the garbage packed roads of the beautiful summer capital on the mercy of God. People face huge difficulties while travelling on the roads. Firstly, tourists have begun to enter in the valley, secondly the increasing temperature with accumulated garbage having the potential to outbreak any epidemic disease are the matters of concern and in all this situation , the SMC officials who need to be active, are playing an irresponsible role, which can badly influence state’s economic development and Health. No doubt, there is a dispute between SMC officials and the inhabitants of Achhan area regarding the dumping of garbage, over a long time, but whole Srinagar is paying the price, which would never be allowed. And if there is any agreement between the SMC and the inhabitants of Achhan area, for shifting them to any other place, then necessary measures must be taken in this regard.”Talking about the central government programmes, Zubair Nazir said, “The administration must take all the steps to give a practical shape to the vision of our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi Ji and should make the “Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan” successful in Kashmir. And in this regard SMC officials must perform their duty or face the consequences. (KNS)
