DLRC meeting convened at Anantnag

Against credit target of Rs 996 cr banks disbursed Rs 683 cr

District Level Review cum Consultative Committee (DLRC) today reviewed the achievements made ending December 2015 under District Credit Action PlanThe DLRC meeting was convened under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Anantnag, Mr Muneer-ul-Islam at Dak Bungalow, Khannabal today.The meeting was attended by MLA Pahalgam Muhammad Altaf Wani, ADDC Anantnag, District Lead Bank Manager, Director RSET, officers from line departments and representatives of RBI and NBARD.The District Lead Bank Manager gave detailed presentation about the performance of the banks and said that against a total credit target of Rs 996 crore, for the year 2015-16, the banks have distributed a loan of Rs 683 crore upto the end of 3rd quarter of the current fiscal.The LDM also informed about the sector-wise achievements and said that against a target of Rs 345 crore under agriculture and allied sectors, an advancement of Rs 201 crore has been made and under Micro and small enterprises Rs 315 crore were advanced against a target of Rs 364 crore. Similarly under other priority sectors, against a target of Rs 477 crore, Rs 157 crore were advanced in the district and under KCC, 71227 sponsored cases, advancement of Rs 609 crore was made in favour of 52339 cases.

MLA Pahalgam said that HDFC, YES Bank and SBI should setup more ATMs in Pahalgam constituency particularly at Seer Hamdaan, Sallar and Aishmuqam.The DDC said that 85% population is covered under Aadhaar and this has projected Anantnag as one of the leading districts in the state. He the Bankers that they should not press for the Aadhaar number in case of those customers whose Aadhaar number has not been generated as of now.  With respect to clearing the bills and liabilities of different departments, Treasury bank was asked to manage the proper manpower.Speaking on the occasion, ADC Anantnag asked the banks to come forward and dovetail with government departments so that release of scholarship money under different schemes becomes easier and hassle free. He sought the necessary support of the Banks in employment creation in different sectors like Handicrafts, Animal and Sheep Husbandry, Agriculture, Fisheries etc by liaisoning with the concerned departments.
