CGC Jhanjeri honored Girls with extraordinary achievements on International Women’s Day

Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri celebrated International Women’s Day by arranging Declamation Contest on the topics concerning women. Students gave speech on  various topics Role of Women in Indian Economy,Laws for Women’s Rights,Role of Women in Corporate World and Indian Women in freedom movement.A special feature of this function was that  girls having made extraordinary achievement during their stay in this college were honored. Some of them included Parvinder Kaur, Zarka, Arzoo, Isha Taneja, Jasmeen Ayub, Jasmeen Kaur, Aarti Khera, Anubhuti Tiwari, Harmanjot Kaur, Sahila Kalyan and Shalin for getting placed in top ranking companies of India before passing out, Simranjeet kaur, Gurleen Kaur, Sujata Sharma, Arzoo Gupta, Rozy, Raveena Rana, Sukhwinder Kaur, Hermehak, Shafia Asif, Nikita Chaman, Arzoo, Jaspreet Kaur, Shivani Thakur, Gurleen kaur, Tanvi Sharma and Jyoti for capturing positions in the Merit Lists of PTU, Riya Sharma, Razia, Jasmeet kaur and Deepali Raina for excellent performance in NCC, Shalin & Dhanakshi for NSS. Jasmeen Kaur, Riya Sharma, Sandeep Kaur and Deepali Raina for winning medals in various Inter College Sports competitions of PTU.Speaking on the occasion, Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President addressed the gathering and apprised them of the real meaning of liberation, which begins in the mind.According to him the woman of today is not in any way lagging behind the men. Rather, in most of the fields, especially in the field of education, they are leading.
