BJP national secretary Tarun Chugh has slammed Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi for supporting anti-national elements who gave seditious speeches and raised anti-India slogans at JNU and Jadavpur University.  Chugh said, to add insult to the injury, Rahul Gandhi was giving sermons on patriotism to RSS and BJP.Reminding Rahul Gandhi of the divisive role played by his forefathers who were virtually responsible for the partition of India, Chugh said RSS and the BJP neither needs Rahul's sermons nor require any certificate from any member of the Gandhi family."Leaders who are openly siding with the separatists elements just to score some brownie points, need to introspect.  One fails to understand what Rahul is trying to convey by lending support to those who tried to eulogize a terrorist convicted and hanged for an attack on Indian parliament and who raised pro-Pakistan and anti-India slogans in the capital of the country," he said.

Chugh told Rahul that Jawahar Lal Nehru, his great-grandfather and the first Prime Minister of India had allowed the inclusion of RSS in Republic Day parade in Delhi which made it clear that even Nehru was convinced of the patriotism of people associated with RSS.Terming Rahul as an immature politician, the BJP leader said that it was quite unfortunate that the Congress vice president and other leaders of his party were trying to revive the fortunes of Congress by supporting separatist elements in Kashmir and the forces that were trying to glorify the likes of Afzal Guru.  Asking for withdrawal of sedition cases against anti-nationals also amounts to treason and Rahul Gandhi was defeating the cause of nationalist forces for vested political interest, Chugh said. The BJP national secretary said that the party president Amit Shah has announced the launch of a 'Jan Swabhiman' campaign to expose such forces who were directly or indirectly involved in activities against the unity and integrity of the nation.Chugh urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Rajnath Singh to invoke section 124-A against the leaders and so called activists responsible for anti-national speeches and slogans and send them behind bars to give a stern message to anti-national elements.
