Vigilance Bureau  were registered 4 cases during January,2016  against corrupt officers who were caught red handed while accepting bribe. Apart from this, the bureau registered six criminal while the number of vigilance inquiries stands at 5.The spokesman further said that during  January,2016, Vigilance Bureau has registered different cases  against accused  Balraj Rai posted as  Line Man at Sub Division Powercom Udhanwal of Tehsil Batala District Gurdaspur, Dr.Amita Goyal Civil Surgeon and Pardeep Gupta P.N.D.T co-ordinator of Civil Hospital Barnala, Jeet Singh S.H.O.  and Hawaldar Satrup Singh, Reader to S.H.O. posted at Thana Canal Colony Bathinda and Jaswinder Singh Revenue Circle Kahanpur of Tehsil Baba Bakala, District Sri Amritsar Sahib.During Month of January,2016 the  courts had  convicted 3 accused and 3  challans  presented before the courts by Vigilance Bureau.
