Caste based Youth Clubs in villages is a bad move: Harjot Bains

Aam Aadmi Party, Punjab condemned SAD-BJP government’s move to establish Caste based Youth Clubs in villages to attract the youth of Punjab. Criticizing the government, Aam Aadmi Party Youth Wing President, Harjot Singh Bains today said that the decision is an attempt to divide the society on the basis of caste. He said that just to grab the votes, division in society is unacceptable and it is against the basic idea of Indian Constitution. Bains said that Badals are so desperate to get the power that now trying to apply the theory of ‘Divide and Rule’ of Britishers at the village level. 

Bains said that SAD-BJP government is trying to evoke the clash between the youth on the name of caste to divert their attention from the real issues of Punjab. He said that Badals are afraid of the inclination of Punajb’s youth towards Aam Aadmi Party and playing dirty tricks to attract them. He said that the tricks of Badals have been exposed and the youth of Punjab have chosen AAP to bring the change in the society. 

Bains said that because of dirty politics in the past, Punjab is already in the grip of number of social evils and now the move of dividing youth on the name of Gurus and religious leaders is commendable. Bains said that Punjab Government is planning to establish ‘Bhai Jiwan Singh Rangreta Youth Clubs’ for dalit youth while ‘Dashmesh Yuva Club’ for the other category youth in  the villages of Punjab. He said that the move is even against the basic idea of Sikh Gurus philosophy. 

Bains said that just before the elections the government is boasting of giving 1 Lakh each to 25 thousand Cast based Youth Clubs while in reality the already existing 17 thousand Youth Clubs have received nothing in last many years. He said that the youth of 21st century is aware and cannot be trapped in this type of trick. Bains suggested the government to stop this type of dirty politics and focus on giving jobs to the youth of Punjab.
