DDC reviews progress under ’HUNNAR’

District Development Commissioner Shopian today  convened a meeting to review progress under the  Skill development scheme ‘’HUNNAR’’ . Elaborating on the scheme  District Development Commissioner said ‘’Hunnar’’ is a module of skill development meant for poor girls living below poverty line .He further said that 225 such cases have been identified by social welfare department and survey to identify more such beneficiaries is going on in the district .District Development Commissioner said eligible beneficiaries   will be imparted training through various existing schemes, being implemented by the identified departments.  He said various awareness camps were held by social welfare department in the district to generate awareness about the scheme. Additional Deputy Commissioner Shopian, officers from various departments and financial institutions were present in the meeting.
