Provincial Youth National Conference President Ajaz Jan on Friday sought immediate buffer of rations in the far off areas of Doda, Kathua,Bani, Basholi, Reasi , Banihal, Poonch, Rajouri and Kisthtwar districts of the Jammu region, saying PDP-BJP owe an explanation to the people of these areas why they failed in doing so as per practice.“The poor rationees are suffering due to scarce stocks and the Governor’s Administration needs to take immediate steps for mitigating their problems”, Jan said while interacting with media at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhavan here this afternoon. He said the PDP-PDP coalition government failed the people of Jammu and Kashmir especially those living in far off areas, as no concern was ever shown towards their problems, least to speak of mitigating these. He said the insensitive dispensation remained mired in controversies and instead of delivering they played to the galleries at the cost of public interest.

Jan also dwelt upon problems confronted to educated unemployed and said that no serious effort was made to fill the vacant posts. Instead, the anti-people and anti-youth government attempted to introduce such a job policy which would have denied the deserving candidates chance to seek employment.

The Provincial Youth National Conference President urged the Governor’s Administration have to devise a mechanism wherein fast track recruitment is ensured through designated institutions. He blamed the previous dispensation of attempting to undermine the statutory bodies to undertake backdoor appointments and said that but for the resistance shown by the sagacious youth, they would have gone ahead with their sinister agenda. He lauded the resilience of youth in foiling the machinations of the PDP-BJP government.

Jan also expressed concern over delays in the release of financial assistance to targeted segments of population like old, widows and destitute besides grant of scholarships to Scheduled Caste and Schedule Tribe students of the state. He hoped that this aspect will receive immediate attention of the government and all the backlog will be cleared in a time bound manner. He also sought priority attention to the restoration works of the damaged infrastructure due to 2014 floods and incessant rains, saying the people of the remote areas continue to suffer due to dilapidated road network and poor utility services.Jan referred to the delay in providing solar lights to the identified beneficiaries in Poonch District and regretted that despite bringing the matter to the notice of the District Administration no headway has been made so far. He said the previous government delayed it because they wanted to trample the list by incorporating their party workers and excluding the genuine people. He hoped this aspect too will merit immediate attention of the government. Those present on the occasion included Rohit Bali, Ankush Abrol , Raiz Malik, Rohit Kerni , Sandeep Singh , Tejinder Pal Singh ( Aman ) , Rahul Sharma, Sunil Sharma, Tanveer Singh, Raja Mahmood, Sayed waseem Bhukari , Sunil , Muzamil Malik, Nitish Goswami, Amit Sharma, sourab Singh, Sunny sharma, Ramandeep Singh, Mr. Sunil Rana, Tanveer Singh, Zeeshan Rana, Mr. Aman Cheema and others.
