District Development Commissioner, Kathua Ramesh Kumar today flagged-off an awareness rally on ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padaho’ and other centrally sponsored schemes at Kathua.  The awareness rally was part of public information campaign being organized by Press Information Bureau, Government of India Jammu in collaboration with district administration Kathua.The rally started from Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Kathua and passed through the main markets mobilizing masses on the themes. The students hailing from all sections of the society participated in the rally.Speaking on the occasion DDC Kathua Ramesh Kumar said that public information campaign is the largest platform for creating awareness among the masses about welfare and development schemes launched by Government of India for the upliftment of women, children and other marginalized sections of the society. He also stressed upon the students to come forward for ensuring success of ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’.
