DDC chairs interactive meeting with the media fraternity of district Baramulla

District Development Commissioner, Yasha Mudgal today chaired an interactive meeting with the representatives of the media fraternity of Baramulla. The meeting was convened to discuss various issues of the media fraternity of the district.

Members of the Executive Body of Baramulla Working Journalist Association (BWJA) viz., Chairperson, Karamat Qayoom, President, Gulzar Ahmad Zargar, Vice-President, Anzer Mohju and other Journalists attended the meeting.

The District Development Commissioner congratulated the newly elected president of the Baramulla Working Journalist Association. While appreciating the role of media fraternity of Baramulla in the development of the district, the District Development Commissioner called for focusing on positive Journalism. The District Development Commissioner stressed upon the media fraternity to reach out to the public and ensure that their issues are brought into the notice of the administration.Issues like Positive journalism, cooperation and coordination between the administration and the Media fraternity, role of media in the development of the society were threadbare discussed during the meeting. It was highlighted that the main aim of both administration and media should be an effective public service and sustainable development of the district.
