Revenue employees observe strike Appeal for release of wages

Revenue employee in Tehsil office Hazratbal observed pen-down strike to protest for the release of their wages.

The protesting employees blamed that they are working without wages from the last five months and the administrative officers have not fulfilled their demands despite repeated requests.“From last five months we have not even received a single penny for our work. Our survival is getting tough,” president of the employees Sheikh Mohammad Farooq told KNS.Farooq said that salary is the only means of income for government employee to make his ends meet.

“We are around 40 employees and all of us are facing tough time. We are not even able to pay tuition fee for our children and installments against the bank loans,” one of the employee said.The employees said that if the salaries are not release they will launch an indefinite strike.“We appeal officers concerned to get us out these circumstances created by releasing our salaries so that we can make our survival happen,” they told KNS.
