GMC doctors visit Fakir Gujri, say no clinical signs of jaundice

A team of doctors from Government Medical College Srinagar today visited Fakir Gujri area to examine the suspected outbreak of Jaundice among children in the area.According to Principal GMC, Prof Kaisar Ahmad, detailed clinical examination were performed by the team of doctors from the blood samples collected from suspected cases besides investigating water and sanitation in the households of suspected cases and a natural spring which is used as water source by people of the area.The team of doctors said that there were no clinical signs and symptoms of jaundice in any of the suspected cases. They said the water samples have been sent for analysis to the department of Microbiology, results of which are awaited.
