Speaker inaugurates Physiotherapy Unit at Justice Mehar Chand Charitable Hospital

Announces Rs 2 lakh for upgradation of Hospital

Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta dedicated Physiotherapy Clinic to public at Justice Mehar Chand Mahajan Charitable Hospital at Gandhi Nagar here today.The Charitable Hospital which is a unit of Central Mahajan Sabha Jammu caters to the needs of thousands of patients suffering from multiple ailments free of costs. Senior doctors of different specialities provide their services voluntarily.Speaking on the occasion, the Speaker highlighted the role of Justice Mehar Chand Mahajan for the overall development and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir and served the society throughout his life tirelessly. He made special contribution for the upliftment of poor and downtrodden. His rich contribution for serving the mankind will go a long way in inspiring the coming generations, said Mr. Gupta.Mr Gupta said that the Mehar Chand Mahajan had the honour to become Prime Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and instrumental in the accession of the state to India. The real tribute to this legendary personality will be to carry forward his mission for serving the poor and needy.Mr. Gupta announced Rs 2 lakh for the development of the hospital from his Constituency Development Fund and assured more help to upgrade the necessary infrastructure.

MLA Jammu East, Mr Rajesh Gupta, MLC Mr. Ramesh Arora also spoke on the occasion and congratulated the hospital administration, especially Dr. Anita Gupta, Physiotherapist for her endeavour in setting up of Physiotherapist Unit. Mr Ramesh Arora also announced Rs 2 lakh for the development of the hospital and hoped that the people will avail full benefits of the Physiotherapy facilities.President Central Mahajan Sabha, Jammu, Mr. Vinod Gupta presided over the function and highlighted the functioning and achievements of the hospital. He appreciated the efforts of Dr. Anita Gupta for establishing the Physiotherapist Unit of the hospital.Earlier, the floral tributes were offered to Justice Mehar Chand by the Speaker and other dignitaries.President, Brahmana Pratinidhi Sabha, Mr. Ved Sharma, President, Rajput Sabha, Mr. Narayan Singh, General Secretary, CMSJ, Mr. Chander Mohan Gupta, staff of hospital, besides large number of social workers and prominent citizens were also present on the occasions.
