Performance of PMGSY Roads reviewed in Kishtwar

Deputy commissioner Kishtwar,  Ghulam  Nabi  Balwan today chaired a meeting of officers of  PMGSY  and other Engineering Departments to review physical and financial achievements in respect of Centrally and state sponsored schemes including district plan and NABARD.During the meeting, Executive Engineer PMGSY informed about the status of various ongoing works in the district and the problems being faced by them in the completion of some projects including pending compensation of land acquired for certain roads due to finalization of revenue papers, removal of structures, title verification and forest clearances.

The DC  directed the concerned Executive Engineers to identify roads   which are lying pending due to minor hurdles including titles verification, preparation of land compensation papers and complete them on priority basis during this financial year so that the pending schemes could be taken up in next financial year with more attention.He also exhorted upon all the revenue officers to work in tandem with the executing agencies and complete all the revenue papers of the land acquired for the construction of roads within 15 days.  ADC Kishtwar Kishori Lal Sharma and CPO Kishtwar Dr Yasir Balwan were also present in the meeting.
