Militant killed in Kashmir gunfight

A guerrilla was killed on Tuesday in a gunfight with the security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district, police said.A brief gun battle broke out between the security forces and guerrillas in Khalhaar (Kokarnag) area of the district early in the day."The gunfight started around 3 a.m. today (Tuesday). One militant has been killed and one AK-47 rifle and three AK magazines were recovered," an official said.The security forces did not suffer any casualties, police added.
