Appealing visiting French president to take note of the ‘atrocities’ committed by India in Kashmir Valley, Tehreek-ul-Mujhdeen chief Sheikh Jameel-ur-Rehman Monday said that miseries of the people in Kashmir increase manifold on the eve of India’s Republic Day functions.In a statement to CNS, Rehman said that India has been inviting world leaders on the eve of its Republic Day to mislead them. “First they invited US president Barrack Obama and now French president is on Indian visit. We appeal visiting French president to take note of the human rights violations India has been indulging in Kashmir,” he said.“Ahead of India’s Republic Day Indian troops and police personnel geared up surprise frisking and checking across the Kashmir Valley. Muslims both in Kashmir and India are being arrested and tortured. Whole Kashmir has turned into a prison. Such tactics of India only exposes the hollow side of its democracy,” he said. (CNS)
