Rubbishing the reports published in a section of media that a key file on the 1984 Anti-Sikh riots case was missing from the Delhi Secretariat, AAP leader Sanjay Singh today termed such report as ‘conspiracy’ to defame the party, which is all set to come into power in Punjab.“File regarding the constitution of Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the 1984 anti-Sikh riots is very much in the Secretariat and reports of its missing was a conspiracy hatched by those, who were irked by the growing popularity of AAP in Punjab”, Sanjay Singh stated here today. He advised media not to publish such ‘irresponsible & baseless’ reports without getting it confirmed.

Media Advisor to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Nagender Sharma, while expressing shock on such ‘hollow’ reports, said that people should avoid such ‘misleading’ reports as Delhi Government knows it very well to perform its duty on such a sensitive issue. It is pertinent to mention here that there was a report published in the media that a file on the 1984 anti-Sikh riots went missing from Delhi Secretariat. The report added that Deputy Secretary (Home) Ashish Kumar sent a circular to all Delhi Government departments on January 8, 2016, requesting officers concerned to look into their respective departments for the file, and, if found, return it to the Home Department.
