Senior separatist leader and Anjama-e-Shari Shaian president Aga Syed Hasan Tuesday welcomed Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif’s visit to Saudi Arabia and Iran aimed at defusing the prevailing tension between the two countries. He said that it was a very positive and timely initiative of the prime minister and Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif to defuse the tension between Jeddah and Tehran. “This bold move of the Pakistani leadership was a good omen for the Muslim world. Pakistan has good relations with both Saudi Arabia and Iran therefore it could play a pivotal role in de-escalation of tension between the two nations. Defusing the mounting Saudi-Iran tension is in the interest of Pakistan as well as the entire region,” he added.

In a statement to CNS Aga Syed Hasan said that the incidents like the execution of Sheikh Baqir Alnimar, the detention of Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaki and the prevailing situation in Islamic world only provides an opportunity to anti-Islamic forces to rule the roost. “It is high time Muslims all over the globe unite and play their role to liberate Kashmir from Indian occupation and Palestine from Israeli thralldom,” he said.He termed the nuclear deal of Iran with world powers as a ‘golden page’ in the country’s history and said that lifting of sanctions on Iran is the victory of people of Iran who survived braving all odds.Aga Syed Hasan said that the latest development is a "turning point" for the economy of Iran, a major oil producer that has been virtually shut out of international markets for the past five years. “People of Iran showed that they can’t be cowed down by imposing economic sanctions. The lifting of these sanctions is a great victory for the people of Iran and we salute their dedication,” he said. (CNS)
