Director Rajya Sainik Board listens to Ex-servicemen’s problems

Director, Rajya Sainik Board Brig. Harcharan Singh (Retd.) today visited Zila Sainik Welfare Office and interacted with the staff, veterans and war-widows .In his address, the Director spoke about the issues being taken up with the Governor and also about his vision for further employment of Ex –Servicemen including disabled/ handicapped veterans. He thanked the state government and the army for all the support. He, further, said that Ex-Serviceman should concentrate on the education of their children accordingly so that they can join as army officers. The Director, further, said that an employment camp in association with big industrial houses will soon be organized for Ex-servicemen where on spot interviews will be held for immediate employment and appreciated the efforts of Zila Sainik Welfare Office in propagating the welfare schemes for Ex-Servicemen and helping them in getting benefits under various schemes. On the occasion, the Director gave away cheques among the Ex-servicemen, war widows and students.
