Divisional Commissioner Jammu Dr. Pawan Kotwal conducted an on spot review of the arrangements being made for the Republic day celebrations at M.A. Stadium here today. IGP Jammu, Danish Rana, DG, Youth Services and Sports, Jahangir Mir, DC Jammu, Simrandeep Singh, Director School Education Jammu, Smita Sethi, SSP Jammu, Uttam Chand, SSP Traffic, Mohan Lal, Joint Director Information Jammu, Nagendra Singh Jamwal, Joint Commissioner JMC, R.S. Jamwal,  Joint Director YSS, Madan Lal, senior officers of civil administration, Army, Air Force, CRPF besides others were present on the occasion.While taking stock of the preparations being made by different departments and agencies for the smooth and successful conduct of the national event, Dr. Kotwal was apprised about the programme details and other arrangements which need to be put in place well before time. 

The officers discussed various important issues pertaining to  security, traffic, cultural items, march-past, seating arrangements, entry of VVIPs, transportation, refreshment, Bhartiyam, sanitation, repair/blacktopping, lighting arrangements, water supply, medical arrangements, fire tenders, barricading etc.Interacting with the officers, Dr. Kotwal stressed on close coordination and synergy among different agencies so that the prestigious occasion is celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. He asked them to keep their activities at maximum with greater involvement and ensure that all adequate arrangements are made well in time to make the event a grand success.Divisional Commissioner also discussed various security arrangements to be made for the smooth and incident free celebration of Republic Day -2016. He asked the traffic department to deploy adequate traffic police officials and also ensure uninterrupted movement of vehicles of VVIP's and that of public around the venue. He directed the concerned officer to ensure adequate number of vehicles be engaged for ferry the general public be reached the venue well in time.
