In connection with the celebration of Republic Day in Ganderbal district a meeting was held here today with the District Development Commissioner, Ganderbal, Showkat Aijaz Bhat in the chair.The meeting decided to organize the main function in Mader-e-Meharban Stadium, where the chief guest will unfurl the tricolor and take salute of the march past from contingents of JKP, JKAP, IRP, Forest Protection Force, and CRPF as well as contingents of various Educational Institutions.The meeting was told that Departments of Education, Information and Youth Services and Sports will jointly arrange the cultural programmers of different nature on the occasion.

The meeting took necessary decisions with regard to the arrangements for security, power supply at the venue of the function, PAS system, drinking water, Medicare, refreshment to school children, barricading of the venue, seating arrangements besides sanitation and cleanliness of the town and venue.The PDD authorities were asked to illuminate important Government buildings on the said occasion. The Fire and Emergency Services Department was asked to ensure availability of fire tenders to meet any eventuality, besides the Health authorities were instructed for providing ambulance and other Medicare facilities.He also stressed upon all the officers to put in place all the arrangements well in time for the smooth celebration of Republic Day .SP Ganderbal, ADC Ganderbal, ACR Ganderbal and all District Officers were present in the meeting.
