Amanbir Singh Siali (Advocate ) s/o Late S. Harbhajan Singh Siyali assumed charge as non-official director of the Backward Classes Land Development And Finance Corporation ( BACKFINCO) in the presence of Gulzar Singh Ranike, Welfare Minister , Punjab. Minister extending warm greeting to Mr. Siyali and said that BACKFINCO has disbursed Rs.11.03 crore to 787 beneficiaries under various employment schemes whereas target of Rs.18 crore is set to disbursed till March 31,2016 to economically weaker section to help them set-up their own small scale enterprises.. He said that the BACKFINCO was established in 1976 to up-lift economically weaker section of the society and the grant is disbursed at minimal 6 percent of interest rate. He said that candidate between age group of 18 to 55 years with annual income of Rs.81,000 in rural area and Rs. 10,3000 is eligible for getting the finance assistance under these schemes. An official spokesman of the welfare department said that Mr. Amanbir Singh Siali also appointed as member board of director of the Punjab Backward classes land development and finance corporation for one year from the date he assumes the charge of office. He further said Mr. Siyali ensure that all the programmes of the corporation are implemented at grass root level with specialised focus on rural areas.
