DDC chairs District Consultative Committee meeting at Budgam

The District Development Commissioner, Budgam, Mr Mir Altaf Ahmad today chaired meeting of District Consultative Committee to review the progress and performance of Financial Institutions/Banks and sponsoring agencies operaring in the district.During the meeting Lead District Manager, Shahzad Hussain Teli gave a brief about the achievements of banks operating in the district under District Credit Plan 2015-16. He informed that total deposits of Banks have increased from Rs 1482.09 crore to Rs 1565.55 crores. Similarly total advances have also increased from Rs 1132.61 crores to2131.36 crores..Under Government Sponsored Schemes against sponsored 1656 cases banks have granted financial assistance to tune of Rs.8.29 Crores to 758 beneficiaries.

The meeting also held threadbare deliberations on the implementation of schemes including PMMY, PMJDY and Social Security schemes.The Chairman while reviewing achievements and performance of various banks and departments directed the banks to improve their performance in the housing, education and DRI Sector.The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer Budgam, , Gen Manager DIC, JKB Cluster Head, Bank Coordinators, Sectional Heads of line Departments, and other officers of District Administration.
