District Development Commissioner, Rajouri, Shabir Ahmed Bhat today conducted tour of village Sawani, block Rajouri which has been taken up to be developed as Model village under BADP.During his tour, DDC inspected various developmental works being executed to cater urgent developmental needs of the village.On the occasion, the DC also identified the place for construction of community hall near Middle School, Sawani.Laying stress on creation  of sports facilities  in High  School, Sawani, DC asked  the concerned  to take up  the leveling works of the play ground so as to provide better facilities to the sportsperson besides  he also directed for construction  of boundary wall around the school building.

Addressing the locals, DC said that the main objective of the BADP is to meet the special developmental needs and well being of the people living in the remote and inaccessible areas so as to saturate such areas with entire essential infrastructure.  He asked locals to submit a resolution regarding the developmental work they wanted to be taken up on priority in their area. Meanwhile, the DDC directed the officers to ensure expeditious execution of developmental works to extend the desired benefits to the people. He impressed upon them to ensure judicious and effective utilization of funds besides removing bottlenecks hindering developmental works. He also impressed  upon the officers to work in a coordinated way ,undertake  regular  monitoring to achieve  quality  parameters and effective implementation of the schemes so that the benefit of the government run developmental  programmes are felt at ground level. On the occasion, DC was also apprised about various demands and problems highlighted  by the locals  and assured them to  mitigate  the  remaining one in a phased manner .
