KVK organises programme on fish drying at Bandipora

A three day training programme on “Scientific drying of fish’’ was organised by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Bandipora here today.The programme was aimed at improving the quality of processed fish for higher returns and consumer preference.During the programme, progressive fishermen besides rural youth who are engaged with fish drying at village Lahar Walpore, Lankreshipora and Kulhama were present. On the occasion, different techniques of drying of fish viz sum drying, salting, smoking etc were taught to the participants.
