R-Day arrangements reviewed at Poonch

To review the preparedness of different departments for celebration of 67TH Republic Day, Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Mohammad Harun Malik Friday chaired a meeting of concerned officers here today. Senior Superintendent of Police, J S Johar, SE Hydraulics, Rayasat Khan, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Shafiq Ahmed Choudhary, Assistant Commissioner Development, Dr. Basharat Hussain besides officers of various other departments attended the meeting. It was decided in the meeting that the main function will be held at Sports Stadium Poonch where National Flag shall be hoisted by the chief guest who will take salute at the march past to be presented by the contingents of JKP, JKAP, NCC and school children drawn from various educational institutions.The Deputy Commissioner directed the R&B, Police, Education, Information, Municipality, PHE, PDD, Youth Services and Sports authorities to ensure preparedness regarding seating arrangements, barricading, electricity, drinking water, security, coverage, cultural items etc. He urged upon the officers to keep close liaison so that all the arrangements are put in place well in time.
