DDC Doda convenes public grievance redressal camp at Balgrain

To redress the grievances of the people living in the far flung areas of the district, a public grievance redressal camp was convened today by District Development Commissioner Doda Mr. Bhupinder Kumar at village Balgrain of Marmat Block Doda.Chief Planning Officer Doda Y. S. Katoch, Chief Education Officer Doda, BDO Marmat, Sarpanches, Panches, prominent citizens and officers of district administration attended the camp.Various demands which were put forth by the people of the area include posting of Doctor at PHC Balgrain, constructions of drains along the roads, posting of adequate staff    in rural schools, additional power transformer to the area, availability of potable drinking Water besides number of other demands were also raised by the people. DDC after giving a patient hearing to the demands and issues raised by the people passed on the spot directions to the concerned officers for taking immediate steps ensuring early redressal of the grievances.

Responding to the various demands projected by the locals DDC directed Chief Medical Officer   Doda to work out possibility of posting the Doctor at PHC besides chief Education Officer was directed to rationalize the staff position in various schools with special focus on rural schools. Reviewing the stock position of various essential commodities in the area, the DDC also stressed on ensuring   adequate stock of ration and other essentials in the areas especially during the winter season. Earlier DDC inspected Trauma centre   at Khellani. He also inspected     construction work of Community Hall  Hamble  being   constructed  by  RDD  under convergence plan (MPLADS & MGNREGA).
