Manohar convenes public grievances camp

Minister of state for fisheries, cooperatives, Finance and Planning Dr Manohar Lal Sharma said that government has created avenues of self employment for the rural youth besides schemes of participatory development in rural areas.He was speaking at a public grievance camp at village Baggan of  Lahai Malahar block in  tehsil Billawar here today.The inhabitants of upper and lower Baggan panchayats projected their demands and problems seeking an immediated redressal to the same.The demands and problems highlighted by the locals included ration store in baggan, primary health centre, upgradation of Baggan High school, funds for boundary wall and flooring of baggan high school, new ration cards, bank branch at Baggan, water scarcity in Danew Kanew,  road connectivity from Baggan to Danew Kanew and electric poles for un-electrified parts of Baggan panchayat  area.Dr Manohar Lal Sharma assured the people that all their issues would be looked into for necessary action.The Minister announced Rs.2 lakh for boundary wall and Rs.1 lakh for levelling of school playground besides announcing 100 poles and 3 transformers for un-electrified houses of uppar and lower baggan panchayat. He directed Tehsil Supply Officer Billawar to ensure timely supply of due ration quota in the area. He also directed the PHE department  to lay water pipes from Dhari to Dhar mohra.Tehsildar Billawar, BDO Billawar, BMO, TSO Billawar, XEN PMGSY, AEE PHE, ZEO Lohai Malhar and other tehsil level officer were present on the occasion.
