Mittal Hands Over Appointment Letters To 76 Service Providers

First time online admission process in all ITI launched

The Industry and Technical Education Minister of Punjab Madan Mohan Mittal today handed over appointment letters to newly selected 76 Service Provider Trainers to carry out the faculty needs in 34 upgraded Industrial training institutes across the state, besides launching the first ever online admission process in all Government and Private ITI. Congratulating the newly selected 76 Service Provider Trainers and their families, Mr. Mittal called upon them to perform their duties with utmost sincerity and dedication. He said that as Punjab was rapidly regaining its glory in industrial sector by attracting huge investment, the big task for the Technical education Department is to provide highly skilled labour to fulfill the needs of industry. 

Mittal has also asked the officials to allot the nearest stations to service providers according the merit. It was also declared by the Minister that Department would soon launch a special aptitude test for students seeking admission in ITI, so the candidates should know their real strength in trade specialization before admission.To ease out the admission process in all Government and Private ITIs in the entire state, a website was also launched by the Minister for first time online admissions in ITI. Candidates would have to register themselves on www.itipunjab.nic.in from today (December 18) onwards. It may be mentioned here that three rounds of counseling would be held during January and February. The new website would also be helpful for candidates regarding admissions, reservations and details of available seats.Speaking on the occasion Principal Secretary Mr. A.R. Talwar said that Punjab Government is all set to interconnect all ITIs which would bring more transparency and accountability. Director, B.S Purushartha also addressed the gathering.
