PDP candidate addresses series of meetings in

Billawar, Basholi assembly segments

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha seat Arshad Malik today asked people to strengthen hands of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and Mehbooba Mufti to establish a new system in Jammu and Kashmir. Mr Arshad Malik was addressing series of public meetings at Dayala Chak, Changi Makwal and Mahanpur areas of Billawar and Basholi assembly segments. Mr Malik said that present government headed by Omar Abdullah has lost its credibility and people were fed up with the wrong policies being propagated by this regime.  “After formation of National Conference led government in the year 2009, the State has been plunged into unprecedented crisis and this regime has become synonymous of chaos and uncertainty”, he said.  “We, with the support of the people, want to change the present ineffective system”, he said and added that it is aim of the PDP to establish a system where every sections of the society would get equal opportunities of development and upliftment. Speaking on the occasion senior PDP leader Daman Bhasin termed PDP as as a movement to change destiny of the people. 

He said that this party has emerged as strong and credible voice of the people of Jammu and Kashmir because common masses have faith on this party. “The pro people agenda of the party is formulated by incorporating wishes and aspirations of all sections of the society and we never compromised with our agenda for attaining power”, he said and reminded when PDP-Congress coalition was formed in 2002, PDP’s agenda was prominently incorporated in the Common Minimum Programme (CMP) of the government. During a meeting at Changi Makwal, Sarpanch Ajit Singh along with his supporter joined PDP. Singh said that he has decided to join PDP due to the policies and programmes of the party. He said that visionary agenda of PDP is the only practical and viable solution of all problems of the state. He assured PDP leadership that he would work with dedication to spread message of party. Rajinder Singh Manhas, Gurparshad, Sudesh Sapolia, Joginder Singh, Rajesh Gupta, Jatinder Sharma, Jagdish Sapolia, K K Sharma, Rangil Singh, Amit Dogra, Sanjeev Singh, Kewal Sharma, Rajni Bala, Avtar Singh and others also spoke on the occasion.
