All Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh Teachers Federation (AJKLTF) President Bhushan Singh Verma handed over a memorandum containing grievances of the teaching fraternity to BJP State Vice-President Chander Prakash Ganga at party hqrs. on Tuesday and sought party’s support for the resolution of the same.Bhushan Singh Verma, while narrating the grievances verbally and through written representation, alleged that state’s Education Ministry and all its resources at present are involved in transfers and promotions adding that corruption, nepotism and political  interference is at extreme and playing a pivotal role in transfer of Teachers, Masters, Lecturer, HM, Principals. Moreover transfers in  Education department has become a profit making industry.  Thus entire process of transfers has become a complete state of anarchy and all extraneous considerations are becoming an open secret thereby jeopardizing the entire sanctity of transfer process. In the present scenario only influential and rich people are being benefited.

In this process a new trend has emerged in which privileged people-Masters, Lecturers from other districts are being adjusted in Jammu, whereas those who don’t have any approach or other means to manipulate the system are being posted at far-flung areas and even after the completion of their tenure at their they don’t have any hope to come back to their home posting. Large number of masters are attached at CEO offices of various districts, which is again injustice. The representation also stressed on  restoration of pre-revised grade of 8000 to lecturer and 7450 to masters, earned leave to all teaching staff at par with HP and Punjab states pattern, clarification of initial higher start, selection grade to under graduate transfers, adjustments of newly promoted Lecturers in science stream and elevation of more transfer and masters in lecturer grade.Chander Prakash Ganga gave them a patient hearing and assured of every possible support to the federation in getting their grievances heard and resolved.Munish Sharma, Balbir Ram Ratta, Vipin Shastri, Ashwani Khosla and others were present on the occasion.
