Proposal For Development Projects Worth Rs.19.77 Crore In The Area

The limits of Nagar Council Balachaur have been extended by the inclusion of remaining areas of Balachaur, Siana and Mehindipur in it, informed Anil Joshi, Local Bodies Minister,Punjab. He said that a notification in this context would soon be issued.Joshi added that this inclusion would facilitate provision of basic requirements in these areas like water supply, roads, lanes, street lights etc, rendering a huge relief to the people of these areas. Besides, there is also a proposal to strengthen and improve upon the basic infrastructure in the existing schools along with setting up of new schools in these areas.Local Bodies Minister said that a proposal for development projects worth Rs.19.77 crore in the area, is also under consideration.
